ZWCAD 2019 Official: Create Amazing Things

GUANGZHOU, China: August 17, 2018 – One month after the Open Beta release, ZWCAD 2019 is now standing in the spot light with more new features and improvements, as well as notably enhanced stability and efficiency, to help you create amazing things.

Dynamic Blocks -- create and modify as you like

The new Block Editor allows you to create and modify Dynamic Block definition by adding various Parameters and Actions, and thus to build your own smart and powerful Dynamic Blocks that suit different design situations.

After inserting the Dynamic Block, you can change its appearance or behavior according to the “rules” you have set. For example, if you want to make the door (Dynamic Block) below larger, you can stretch (Action) the length (Parameter) simply by dragging the grip.

 

PDF Underlay -- more can be done to PDF

PDF can now be attached and displayed as underlay by PDFATTACH command, after which you can adjust the contrast, fade degree and monochrome of the PDF, snap the objects in it, display or hide its frame, clip it as you like, and manage its layers to control what objects to be displayed to simplify the drawing, so that you can continue to work on the existing designs, instead of starting from scratch. What’s more, except for PDF, DWFx underlay can also be attached and displayed now.

 

Annotative Object – scale automatically, display properly

You may discover that if you plot a drawing with annotations to a smaller scale, the size of the annotations will also be reduced, which usually makes them too small to be recognized, bringing forth inconvenience in design communications.

Now you can get rid of this trouble once and for all simply by using Annotative settings. Through turning the annotations like text, dimension, hatch, multileader, etc. into Annotative Objects, their sizes can be adjusted automatically according to different view scales in model space or layout viewport, and thus always displayed at the right size.

 

For example, if you want to plot your drawing to a smaller scale, say, 1:4, the size of the annotations, which have been set as Annotative Objects, will be automatically scaled up to 4:1, to guarantee their readability on screen and in plotting. You no longer need to worry about the “disappeared” annotations when scaling down your drawings, benefiting the output of drawings with multiple plotting scales in multiple viewports.

Custom Color Scheme – Dark or Light? Up to you!

After the Dark UI scheme received warm welcome in the last version, ZWCAD 2019 continues to satisfy user’s diversified preferences by bringing back the optimized Light UI scheme. Now you can switch between these two different styles to choose the one that fits you well.

 

Layer Properties Manager Palette – what you see is what you get

Before, when opening Layer Manager, you can only operate in its dialog box, which means that you need to open and close the it repeatedly to see how the layers have been changed in the drawing.

But now, through turning the dialog box into a palette, you are able to operate in the drawing area with the Layer Manager on, and see the instant updates of layer adjustments in the drawing area, making it more convenient to deal with layers in the drawing.

 

Smart Plot – plot multiple drawings all at once

Still suffering from repeating those plotting steps to plot several frames in the Model space one by one? Now with Smart Plot, multiple frames can be plotted at one time from the Model space with ZWPLOT command. More efficient plotting process is realized.

 

Z-Tracking – Easier 3D Design

Z-Axis can now be tracked in 3D design, which means that you can draw lines parallel to Z-Axis easily without any other construction lines, making your 3D design handier.

 

Except for the important new features and improvements above, the stability has also been greatly enhanced especially under continuous and intensive usage, and the increase of efficiency for commonly-used functions is also impressive.
